Robert A. Manjourea, 62, of 200 East River St., Orange, formerly of 76 Daniel Shays Highway, Athol, died Thursday morning in Quabbin Valley Nursing Home in Athol after a lengthy illness.
He was born in Springfield May 25, 1941, son of the late Edmond and Katherine (Watts) Manjourea and lived here many years. Mr. Manjourea was employed with L.S. Starrett Co. of Athol for fifteen years and had also worked for B&G Woodworking, Cellular Wood Products, Temple Oil, the American Legion in Athol and Catholic Charities, picking up groceries and delivering them to the elderly.
He enjoyed shooting pool and NASCAR racing. In fact, he drove several Enduros at the Monadnock Speedway.
He is survived by three sons, Robert A. Manjourea, Jr. of Orange and Daniel S. Manjourea and Timothy J. Manjourea, both of Athol; two daughters, LeAnne Killay and DeAnne Chong, both of Athol; one brother, George E. Manjourea, D.D.S. of Florida; one sister, Beverly Paquin of Barre, twenty grandchildren and three great grandchildren. A grandson, Sean Robert Manjourea of Athol died this past Monday.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Memorial Service in J. Edward Murphy Funeral Home, 137 Main St., Athol, Saturday, January 24 at 2PM. There are no visiting hours.
