LEOMINSTER - Robert F. Prince, 80 of 100 Main St., Leominster, died Saturday, July 14, 2012 in the Leominster Hospital after an illness.
He was born in Leominster, on July 25, 1931, the son of the late Alfred Joseph and the late Alice Emma (Prince) Prince.
Mr. Prince graduated from Leominster High School in 1949. He worked for Independent Lock & Key and was a pressman at Colonial Press. Mr. Prince was owner of the former Red Checker Restaurant and was a baker at Roma Bakery. He was a member of the St. Jean Club and it's bowling league. Mr. Prince also enjoyed golfing and was a former member of the Grandview Country Club.
He leaves one daughter: Laurie Prince and her husband Richard Bird of Newcastle, WA and two sons: Michael J. Prince and his wife Denise of Lewisburg, PA, Stephen R. Prince and his wife Maureen of Simpsonville, SC; one sister: Jacqueline Ott of East Greenwich, RI; six grandchildren: Rickey Bird of Newcastle, WA, Julia Prince, Benjamin Prince and Thomas Prince al of Lewisburg, PA, Jared Prince and Kevin Prince both of Simpsonville, SC; five nieces and two nephews.
He was predeceased by his brother Paul Prince.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 17, 2012 at 11:00 am in the Simard Funeral Home, 14 Walker Street, Leominster. Burial will follow in St. Cecilia's Cemetery.
A Calling Hour will be held Tuesday from 10:00 - 11:00 am at the funeral home.
