ATHOL - Robert C Skrabis, 64 of 37 Gibson Dr., Athol, died Tuesday, October 2, 2007 in the Athol Memorial Hospital, Athol.
He was the son of the late Albert and the late Ellen (Ford) Skrabis.
He attended schools in Stickney and Burwin, Illinois. Bob attended Morton West High School, where he played football and was a member of the wrestling team.
He was a Machinist and supervisor at Kingsbury Machine Shop, Burkshire Industries, Stacy Machine, Leavitt Machine and Advanced Tool before he was blinded on October 17, 1986.
Bob loved his CD music collection, chinese food, pizza, art and taking walks with his guide dog Micah. Bob loved spending time with his fiance Alice and his guide dog Micah. He loved his fiance Alice very much. He was an avid hunter.
He leaves his fiance: Alice Ferrari; his guide dog Micah; one daughter, one son and one grandson; many friends, neighbors and his Fidelco Guide Dog Foundation Family.
A Memorial services will be held on Monday, October 8th, at 10a.m. in the Fiske Funeral Home, 1356 Main St., Athol.
A Calling hour will be held from 9 to 10a.m. on Monday, October 8th.
