Roberta P. (Alner) Ford

Roberta P. Ford Athol – Roberta P. (Alner) Ford, 89, formerly of Kelton Street, died Wednesday, May 7, 2014 at the Quabbin Valley Healthcare.      Roberta was born in Athol, Massachusetts, January 29, 1925, the daughter of Arthur H. and Mabel (Campbell) Alner.  She was one of eight siblings and was a twin to a brother.         She leaves a daughter, Cynthia Barnes and her husband Michael of Athol; two grandsons, Aaron and Garrett Barnes; four great grandchildren, Sara, Leah, Kayla and Griffin; a sister, Dorothy Woodard of Athol.  She was predeceased by her husband, Rodney A. Ford in 1979 and six brothers and sisters.      At Roberta’s request there are no services planned.  A private burial will be held at Silver Lake Cemetery at the convenience of the family.  The family suggests those wishing to make a donation in Roberta’s name may be made to the Quabbin Valley Healthcare, activities fund, 821 Daniel Shays Highway, Athol, MA 01331.  Higgins-O’Connor Funeral Home, 146 Main Street, Athol is directing arrangements.  For further information or to share a memory with the family go to: www.higginsoconnorfuneralhome.com. $(document).ready(function(){ });
