Roberta Ann (Paganetti) Erickson lost her almost two-year battle with cancer at the Highlands in Fitchburg, Massachusetts on May 3, 2014.
Born in Gardner on May 21, 1944, Roberta, “Bobbiâ€, was the daughter of the late Alfred and Karrine (Koski) Paganetti. She was a 1962 graduate of Athol High School. Following graduation she attended hairdressing school in Worcester and was employed as a hairdresser for several years. She also worked as a keypunch operator at Union Twist Drill and as aide for the Athol-Royalston School District. She retired from the advertising department of the Athol Daily News in 2006.
Known for her signature laugh she had a funny comment for all of life's situations. She was an avid gardener who lovingly tended to her flower and vegetable gardens and was also a talented seamstress who sewed garments for her family members. She participated in many of her daughter's school and extracurricular activities including acting as the Assistant Troop Leader for her daughter's Girl Scout troop. She and her husband enjoyed exploring the East Coast with one of their favorites being Wells Beach, Maine. In later years, they enjoyed exploring New England on many bus trips.
Roberta was preceded in death by her twin brother, Richard Paganetti, of South Royalston.
She will be sadly missed by her husband, Stephen Erickson of Athol, and her daughter, Kris Gleba and her husband Chris of Lowell, her two grandchildren, Zackary and Zoe, younger sister Karrine Hoover of Prescott, Arizona as well as a nephew and several nieces.
A celebration of life will be held Friday, June 20, from 6:00 to 9:00 P.M. at the Royalston Fish & Game Club. To express condolences or to sign our online guest book please visit www.fiskemurphymack.com.
