Roberta "Bobbi" Marie Newcomb

Petersham-Roberta “Bobbi” Marie (Peterson) Newcomb, 84, died Wednesday, November 9, 2022 at her home after an illness. 

 

She was the wife of the late Ralph H. Newcomb, Sr. 

 

Roberta leaves her five children, Lu-Ann Laperle of Barre, Terry Balzano and her husband Joseph of Hartwick, Ralph H. Newcomb, Jr of Petersham, Paul Newcomb and his wife Darlene of TN and Paula Maricola of Hartwick; nine grandchildren, Christopher Laperle, Stephaine Balzano, Stacey Balzano, Jordan Newcomb, Ryley Newcomb, Megan Newcomb, Heather Gordon, Rebecca Lariviere and Kayla Hanny; ten great-grandchildren. 

 

She is predeceased by her twin brother, Robert T. Peterson, Jr. and granddaughter Ashley Foley.

 

Roberta was born in Athol on November 11, 1937 a daughter of the late Robert T. Sr. and Mary C. (Doe) Peterson. She was a 1955 graduate of Athol High School. She worked at J.F. McElwain Shoe and was a bus driver. Her main job was as a Water Tester for Erving Paper Mill. 

 

She was a member of the Red Hatter’s Club. She enjoyed playing golf and all of the New England Sports Teams. 

 

Her funeral services and burial will be private.
