LEOMINSTER – Roger A. Bilodeau “Pepe”, 74, beloved son, father, grandfather, great grandfather and beloved husband of Virginia, died Monday, September 11, 2017 of a sudden illness at UMass Medical Center, Worcester.
Roger was born on June 9, 1943 in Leominster, son of the late Raymond and Aurore (Poirier) Bilodeau and lived all his life in Leominster.
Roger was a hard worker, spending 30 years as a roofer. He also owned and operated Rogers’s Carpet and Upholstery Cleaning. He was a lifelong member of St. Cecilia’s Parish.
Roger will be remembered as being a man of integrity, loyalty, and thoughtfulness. He loved his family, the outdoors, gardening, camping and Red Sox baseball. His favorite day of the year was the annual family gathering on Christmas Eve. He lived by his motto, “always do your best”.
He leaves his wife of 26 years: Virginia (Watson) Bilodeau; three daughters: Tammy Chapman and her husband Michael of Winchendon, Diana Bilodeau and Bernadette Bilodeau, both of Fitchburg; two sons: Brian Ciampa and his wife Eleanor of Saugus and Jonathan Ciampa and his wife Kelley of Tewksbury; fifteen grandchildren: Ashley, Erin, Meghan, Sierra, Russell, Christopher, Joshua, Jacob, Cecilia, Zachary, Sebastian, Justin, Jason, Sarah, Erin; eight great grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by two brothers and one sister.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, September 16, 2017 at 11:00 am in St. Cecilia’s Church, 180 Mechanic St., Leominster. Burial will follow in St. Cecilia’s Cemetery.
Calling hours will be held Friday, September 15th from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm in the Simard Funeral Home, 14 Walker St., Leominster.
