WESTMINSTER- Roger M. Lehtinen, 83, passed away on Monday, January 31, 2022 at his home.
Roger was born in Fitchburg on April 4, 1938, son of the late Toivo and Jennie (Salerno) Lehtinen.
He worked for PJ Keating Concrete Company for 28 years before retiring in 1998. Since retiring, he has spent his winters in Florida. He was a member of the Midstate Auto Club, Winchendon Golf Course, and a motorcycle group called “The Retreads”. He had a passion for golf, antique cars, biking and walking.
He is survived by his wife, Gail (Page) Lehtinen; two sons, Eric Lehtinen and Steve Lehtinen; a daughter, Karen Lehtinen; one grandson, Chad Lehtinen; one great grandchild, Brooks Lehtinen; two step-sons, Mark Goodhue and his wife, Brenda, and Jeffrey Goodhue and his wife, Tasia; two step-grandchildren, Constantina Goodhue and Ethan Goodhue; a brother, Bruce Lehtinen; four sisters, Anita Gaunt, Kathy Lehtinen, Christine Pohl, and Sue Howlett; as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, David Lehtinen and a sister, Janine DeLorme. On behalf of the Lehtinen Family, a special thank you to the nurse’s aides, Anna, Meline, Robin, Millie, and the hospice nurses for the kindness and loving care given to Roger. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Alzheimer’s Foundation of America, 322 8th Avenue, 16th Floor, New York, NY 10001.
