ORANGE- Ronald E. Flagg, 75, of Orange, passed away on Monday December 2, 2013 in Athol Hospital following a sudden illness. He was born in Goffstown, NH on November 11, 1938, the son of the late Charles and Ruth (Weightman) Flagg. Ronald moved from Winchendon to Orange in 1995 with his wife of 56 years, Carol (LeBlanc) Flagg. He worked at the former Fitchburg Foundry as a crane operator for over 25 years and then worked at the former Tucker Housewares in Leominster as a machine operator. He retired in 1998 due to an illness. Ronald loved to do wood working and making lawn ornaments, spend time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He also loved the company of his two dogs. Besides his wife, Ronald is survived by his four sons; Ronald Flagg, Jr. of Gardner, Kevin Flagg and his wife Stephanie of Winchendon, Ricky Flagg and his wife Carolyn of Gardner, and Michael Flagg and his wife Becki of Athol, three daughters; Pamela Dane of NY, Debbie Misner of NY, and Susan Gilley and her husband Philip of Ashburnham, two Brothers; Arnold Flagg , and David Flagg, one sister; Gloria Brunk, Thirteen grandchildren; Christopher Perigny, Allysia Hartley, Amber Flagg, Nicholas Scott, Matthew Flagg, Chelly Granath, Alana Flagg. Sherry Ann Gadway, Steven Dane, Kevin Dane, Melissa Staib, Benjamin Misner, and Samantha , eight great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by his son in-law Christopher Dane, a daughter in-law, Gidget Flagg, two brothers, Charlie Flagg, Richard Flagg and three sisters. Calling hours will be held in the Fiske-Murphy & Mack Funeral Home 110 New Athol Rd.Orange on Friday December 6, 2013 from 6:00pm-8:00pm. There will be no funeral service and burial will be private. The family is asking that flowers be omitted and donations in Ronald’s name be made to the American Heart Association, 20 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701 or may be left at the funeral home.
