Ronald James Waterman

Ronald James Waterman, life long resident of Westminster, MA passed away at home surrounded by family on October 12, 2022.

Ron was the son of Rodney and Charlotte Waterman, also of Westminster. Ron was born on November 12, 1945 in Houlton Maine, where his father was stationed during WWII.

Ron is survived by his wife of 56 years, Linda (McCune), his daughter Lisa Waterman-Henrie, son-in-law Bermon Henrie, son Michael Waterman, daughter-in-law Carla (Tarmasiewicz), two grandchildren Ronnie and Alexandria, his brother John and wife Monica also of Westminster, sisters-in-law Jo Ayers and Nan McCune (Enrico Palumbo) as well as his beloved dachsund Luna.

Ron retired in 2006 from Simonds Saw & Steel in Fitchburg after 42 years as a millwright. In their retirement, Ron and Lin spent as much time as possible at their log cabin in the White Mountains that they built together. 

Ron was predeceased by his father and mother, his sister Carol Girouard, his brother Michael John Waterman, and his dachshunds: Heidi, Sasha, Snitzle, and Zeus.

The family expresses sincere thanks to both Mandy at VNA of Worcester, for her compassion and care during Ron's illness 
and his favorite physician Dr. Karla Christo of Fitchburg.

Calling hours will be on Wednesday, October 19, 2022, in the Mack Family Funeral Home 105 Central St. Gardner MA 3-7pm, with a prayer service at 6:45pm

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to VNA Hospice & Family Care in memory of Ron to support patient care at VNA Hospice & Palliative Care, Fund Development Office, 199 Rosewood Drive, Suite 180, Danvers, MA 01923 or via www.vnacare.org/donors.

Interment at the family plot at North Cemetery, Lunenburg, MA will be at the convenience of the family.
