Rose M. Hanmore

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Rose Mary Hanmore, on February 24, 2025. 

Born in London, UK on March 30, 1942, Rose and Alan later made Keene, New Hampshire her home, They lived a life full of adventure, laughter, and love. Rose was a woman of strength, determination, and resilience, who faced life’s challenges with an unyielding spirit and a bright smile that could light up any room. A great humorist, Rose's funny anecdotes and witty banter left everyone in stitches, making every moment with her a joyous celebration of life. 

Rose was a loyal and loving wife to her husband, Alan, and a caring mother, to her children: Suzanne, Steven, Linda, Michael Richard and Kirstie

An adoring grandmother to David, Benjamin, Danny, Mick, Laura, Emma, Sam, Jak, Gwen, Tommy, Rosie, Rebecca, Hollie, and to her great grandchildren: Kayla, Britton, Lily, Bradley, paisley Rose, Willow, Ellowyn Fae, Charlie, Arya, Amelia Abigail, Jordan and Olivia

Her courage was a beacon for us all, a guiding light that showed us the way even in the darkest of times. She was an adventurous spirit, her zest for life unmatched.

Rose previously worked as a secretary and later she and Alan became the owners of a seaside hotel, and of Rosie’s Pizza, always with her beloved husband, Alan (her “Flower” and “Treasure”.)

She brought her unique blend of efficiency, humor, and warmth to the workplace, making it a better place for everyone. She was a living testament to the fact that love and kindness can transform any environment, however challenging it may be. She is preceded in death by her daughter Linda, taken way too soon. Yet, their spirit lives on in the hearts of those who loved them and the countless lives they touched. 

Rose's life was a beautiful journey, filled with laughter, love, and bravery. Her memory, like the sweetest melody, will forever echo in our hearts, reminding us to embrace life with the same courage, enthusiasm, and love that she did.

The Calling hour will be held on Sunday, March 9, 2025 from 2:00-3:00PM with a Funeral Service at 3:00PM at Mack Family Funeral Homes-Gardner Chapel, 105 Central Street, Gardner, MA.
