WINCHENDON- Rose V. (Kladky) Hartford, 88, formerly of Winchendon, died peacefully Thursday, July 28, 2016 in Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital after an illness.
She was born March 7, 1928, in Haverhill, daughter of the late William LaFlamme and Beulah (Quimby) LaFlamme. After working at New England Baptist Hospital and the former Gardner State Hospital, she moved to Winchendon in 1954 to raise her beloved and growing family. Rose’s greatest love was spending time with her children and grandchildren. She also enjoyed music, dancing, crossword puzzles, and watching the Red Sox.
Her husband of 37 years, Vernon S. Hartford, passed away in 1989. She was also predeceased by a daughter, Virginia S. (Hartford) Johnson, in 1996.
She is survived by her son, Burton L. Hartford of Amesbury; two daughters, Sharon R. Hackett and her husband, Keith A. Hackett of Gardner; Janice M. Caddell and her wife, E. Jazz Paz of Houston; and three grandchildren, Samantha, Taila, and Terin.
The private funeral service will be under the direction of Fletcher-Hebert Funeral Home, 70 Pleasant Street, Winchendon.
