Russell C. Wead

Hubbardston-Russell C. Wead, 90, died Thursday, April 28, 2022 with his family at his side. He was the husband of the late Louise (Bishop) Wead. He leaves one daughter, Phyllis Aubuchont of Leupp, AZ; three sons, Dennis C. Wead of Smyrna, TN, Russell Wead of Roanoke, VA and Clifton Earle of Smyrna, DE; one sister Marjorie Clark of Hubbardston; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Russell is predeceased by a son Phillip Wead. He was born in Gardner, on June 20, 1931 a son of the late Raymond E. and Naureen (Fisher) Wead. He graduated from Worcester Boys Trade High School in Worcester. He worked in shipping and receiving for the former Van Huffel Co. and also worked for the Gardner City Hall in the maintenance department. Russell’s funeral service and burial will be private at the Greenwood Cemetery in Hubbardston.
