Ruth E. Davis

ATHOL - Ruth E. Davis, 98 of Athol died Tuesday, July 4, 2006 in the Quabbin Valley Healthcare, Athol. She was born in Mansfield on April 3, 1908, the daughter of the late Charles E. and the late Cassie R. (Goddard) Dunbar. Ruth attended Athol schools. She married Ashley L. Davis on July 2, 1925. She worked at the Slencil Shop in Athol, the Athol Memorial Hospital and Erving Paper Co. She was a member of the Salvation Army for thirty-five years and was a member of the 1st Assembly of God Church in Orange. She leaves two daughters; Barbara Smith of Athol and Gertrude B. Prasinos of Orange, and one son; Donald A. Davis of Orange. She was predeceased by her husband, Ashley L. Davis in 2002 and a daughter, Marion E. Miller in 1992. Funeral services will be held Friday, July 7, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. in the Fiske Funeral Home, 1356 Main Street, Athol. Burial will follow in Tully Cemetery, Orange. A calling hour will be held Friday from 9:30 - 10:00 a.m. in the Fiske Funeral Home, 1356 Main Street, Athol, MA.
