Ruth E. (Hopkins) Hajdukiewicz

GARDNER- Ruth E. (Hopkins) Hajdukiewicz, 80, of Gardner, died Wednesday, July 16, in Wachusett Manor, after an illness. She was born and raised in Gardner on October 22, 1933, a daughter of the late Roy and Bertha (Norcross) Hopkins. Ruth worked at the Rutland Heights Hospital as a nurse’s aide until 1991. She then worked for the Gardner Visiting Nurses Association until her retirement in 2003. She enjoyed reading and crossword puzzles. She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph Hajdukiewicz, in 1987. She leaves two sons, Michael and James Hajdukiewicz, both of Gardner; one daughter, Lori Hajdukiewicz of Gardner; one brother, Roy Hopkins of Gardner; one sister, Virginia Gough of Fredericksburg, VA; five grandchildren, Caitlyn, Michael, Zak, Joey, and DJ. The funeral will be held Tuesday, July 22, at 10:00 A.M. in Poliks Funeral Home, 431 Pleasant St., Gardner.  Burial will follow in Wildwood Cemetery in Gardner.
