Ruth Evelyn (Metivier) Fournier

Ruth Evelyn (METIVIER) Fournier passed away peacefully in her home on Monday April 29, 2024, in Warwick, Massachusetts, at the age of 75 after a battle with LBD (Lewy Body Dementia); with her loving family by her side.

She was born on February 3, 1949, in Hudson, Massachusetts to Francis L. Metivier and Shirley E. (Rixford) Metivier.
Ruth graduated from Hudson, High School in 1968 and moved on to become the beautiful bride to her high school sweetheart and soul mate- the late Richard Fournier, Sr. on December 28, 1968.

Ruth worked for various companies including Stencils in Orange, MA and Thomas & Betts in Athol, MA. She spent most of her career working as a dedicated accountant for her father at Orange Manufacturing in Orange, MA. Ruth was a wonderful, nurturing, hard-working, kind person who adored her children and grandchildren!

In her free time, Ruth enjoyed touring Travis Trit concerts with her friends, a hobby that brought her much joy and fulfillment. Also listening to 'The Beatles' was always a must! A many family favorite; attending the engine shows with her late husband.

Ruth was a loving, caring devoted mother and wife. She was preceded in death by her husband Richard Fournier Sr. 09/29/1992; her Mother Shirley E. Metivier 07/19/1993; her father Francis L. Metivier 08/03/2006; and her brother Roy F. Metivier 04/17/2014.

Ruth is survived by her two sons- Richard Fournier Jr.; his children Alex Fournier and his wife April; Alexeah Fournier and her mother Carol Booker; his step children Luke Fairman, Jake Fairman and their mother Tina Holloway. His girlfriend Ann Campbell, her children
Sarah Campbell and Kimberly Rau. Scott Fournier and his fiance Venessa Welvaert, her children Jordan Lamarche and Jaidyn Lamarche.

Ruth will be deeply missed. Her memory will be cherished by her family, friends and all who knew and loved her. No memorial services will be held, but a celebration of life will take place to honor her legacy at a later date.
