Ruth M. Rowe

ATHOL - Ruth Mildred (Goodale) Rowe, 99 of Athol, died Tuesday, January 3, 2017 at home. She was born in Athol, on November 23, 1917, the daughter of the late Lester and the late Agnes (Locke) Goodale. Ruth grew up in Athol and graduated from Athol High School with the Class of 1937. She was a member of the Starrett Memorial United Methodist Church for over 75 years. She enjoyed crocheting. She leaves two daughters, Sharon J. Mabe and her husband Jack of Texas, Nancy L. Rowe of Athol; a son, James V. Rowe and his wife Margaret of Athol; six grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; two nieces and two nephews. She was predeceased by two sisters, Beverly Goodale in 2013 and by Viola Goodale in 1930. Funeral services will be held Friday, January 6, 2017 at 11:00 am in the Higgin's O'Connor Funeral Home, 146 Main St., Athol. Burial will follow in Silver Lake Cemetery. Calling hours will be held Friday, January 6, 2017 from 10 - 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
