ORANGE - Ruth B. (King) White, 92 of 50 Red Brook Lane, Orange, died Thursday, January 19, 2006, in the Athol Memorial Hospital, Athol.
She was born in Phillipston, on December 9, 1913, the daughter of the late Harry and the late Esmeralda (LaCroix) King. She lived in the Athol, Petersham and Orange all of her life. She was educated in Phillipston and Athol.
She was an Inspector, employed by the J.F. McElwain Shoe Company for over 38 years, she retired in 1975.
She leaves one son, Harry White of Eugene, Oregon; nine grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband of 67 years, Bonnie White who died in 1998, by her daughter Barbara May, by her brother, Hollis King, and by her two sisters, Audrey Heer and Althea Carroll.
Funeral services will be held Monday, January 23, 2006 with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in St. Francis of Assisi Church 101 Main Street, Athol. Burial will follow in Silver Lake Cemetery, Athol.
A calling hour will be held Monday, January 23, 2006, from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. in the J. Edward Murphy Funeral Home 137 Main St., Athol.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made in her memory to American Cancer Society´s, New England Division Office, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701 or to a Charity of one´s choice.
