Gardner - Ruth A. (Greene) Zdanowicz, 100, of 100 Sunrise Lane, died peacefully Friday morning, December 29, 2017, in her home with her loving daughters.
Ruth was born in Bath, N.H. on April 15, 1917, daughter of Harold and Florence (Stone) Greene.
She graduated from Woodstock High School in Woodstock, VT in 1935.
She moved to Gardner in 1941 where she worked for O’Hearn Manufacturing Company for several years and Lashua & Beauregard Insurance Agency for 24 years, retiring in 1980.
She loved reading, sewing, embroidery, puzzles and dancing. She was also a 23 year cancer survivor. Ruth loved cats, especially Prince, Patches and her present beloved cat, Molly. She was a member of the former St. Joseph Church.
Ruth was predeceased by her husband Stephen Zdanowicz Jr. who passed away on July 12, 1987, three sisters, two brothers, and a niece and nephew.
She leaves two daughters; Jane and Jean Zdanowicz of Gardner with whom she was living with. She also leaves several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Calling hours will be held Wednesday, January 3, 2018 from 9:30-10:30am in the Lamoureux-Smith & Poliks Funeral Home, 105 Central St. Gardner.
A Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at 11am at Holy Spirit Church, 50 Lovewell St. Gardner.
Burial will be at a later date.
