GARDNER - Sally Catherine (Glinski) Cormier, 85 of 44 Sunrise Lane, died Saturday, July 16, 2011 at the Legends Center following an illness. She was born in Gardner on April 17, 1926 the daughter of Bolewlaw and Stephania (Rachubka) Glinski and was a lifelong resident of Gardner. She was a 1944 graduate of Gardner High School. Sally worked for 30 years as a chocolate dipper for Priscilla's Candy Shop in Gardner. She held numerous jobs until her retirement. In her younger days, Sally was a champion candlepin bowler. She was an avid reader, loved to cook especially for family gatherings and dance with her husband of 62 years. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Sally held the office of the President of the Polish American Social League and the Mother's Guild of Sacred Heart School. She received special recognition from the AARP for her outstanding service to the community. Sally is survived by her husband, Donald J. Cormier of Gardner; her children, Stephanie L'Ecuyer and spouse Michael of Pembroke, NH, Nancy Severino of St. Petersburg, FL, Michelle Cormier of Gardner, Jeffrey Cormier and spouse Julie of Grafton; two sisters, Lillian Kisloski and her husband Stanley of Greenfield, Sophie Connelly of Branford, CT; four grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers, Walter, Zigmont, Stanley, Joseph, Michael, and Henry Glinski, and by her sisters, Jennie Carpenter and Henrica Fourtellotte. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 21, 2011 with an 11 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial in Sacred Heart Church, 166 Cross Street, Gardner. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery, Gardner. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, July 20, 2011 from 6-8 p.m. in the Mack Funeral Home, 91 Vernon Street, Gardner.
