Sandra Carol (Bergeron) Smith

  GARDNER - Sandra Carol (Bergeron) Smith, 61 of 44 Olde Colonial Drive #3, Gardner, died unexpectedly, Monday, July 2, 2012 in the Heywood Hospital, Gardner, MA. She was born in Leominster, MA, on December 21, 1950, the daughter of the late Ernest and Dorothy Bergeron. Mrs. Smith was a graduate of Leominster High School. She also attended several area colleges. She was a preschool teacher for 33 years, employed by YMCA Fitchburg, MA retiring in 2012. Sandra will be remembered as a wonderful wife, mother, daughter, grandmother, and teacher. She loved flowers, birds, and shopping with her mother and grandson. Besides her mother, Dorothy “Dot” Bergeron of Gardner, she leaves her husband of 30 years, Douglas Smith; two sons, David and Jay Rocheleau, both of Fitchburg; four grandchildren, Rebecca, Samantha, and Eric Scipione, and Ryan James Rocheleau; two brothers, John Bergeron of Gardner, and Darrell Bergeron of Fitchburg; one sister, Deborah Bergeron of New Ipswich, NH; one nephew, Carl Bergeron of Fitchburg. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, July 9, at 10:00 A.M. in Saint Cecilia’s Church, 180 Mechanic Street, Leominster.  Burial will be private in Saint Cecilia’s Cemetery. Calling hours are Sunday, July 8, from 2:00 to 5:00 P.M. in M.A. Simard & Son Funeral Home, 14 Walker St., Leominster.   $(document).ready(function(){ });
