PHILLIPSTON - Sean Patrick O'Leary, 37 of 387 Highland Avenue, Phillipston, died on Sunday, February 5, 2012 at the UMass Memorial Medical Center’s University Campus in Worcester from injuries sustained while snowmobiling at Clubhouse Pond in Warwick.
Sean was born in Athol, on July 16, 1974, the son of Donna R. (Greene) O'Leary of Phillipston and the late Robert F. O’Leary. He resided in Phillipston nearly all of his life and graduated from Narragansett High School with the class of 1994. Sean was a talented handyman and "jack-of-all-trades", working for his father, O'Leary & Sons Roofing Company for many years.
Sean was a true outdoorsman and loved four-wheeling, ATVs, snowmobiling and mud trucks. He enjoyed working with his hands and was mechanically inclined. Sean was often found disassembling and reassembling vehicles or cutting logs. He proudly made his first annual maple syrup for his family this year. Sean was a good man who cared deeply about his loved ones and often put the needs of others before his own. He will be dearly missed.
In addition to his mother, Sean leaves his daughter, Danielle Marie Ivey of NC; his companion of twelve years, Debra Manty of Phillipston; three brothers, Jason Michael O'Leary and his companion Tonya Cote of Athol, Robert Paul O'Leary and his companion Cheryl Nelson of Phillipston, Craig Allen O'Leary and his companion Luanne Russel of Phillipston; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Calling hours will be held Thursday, February 9, 2012 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Mack Funeral Home, 91 Vernon Street, Gardner.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 12:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
Burial in St. John's Cemetery, Gardner, will be private.
