Baldwinville

Shannon L. Smith, a dedicated and compassionate soul, passed away on January 12, 2025. Born in Gardner, Massachusetts, on September 17, 1980, Shannon was a beacon of charisma and kindness that illuminated the lives of all she encountered. Her captivating spirit was most evident in her profession as a Registered Nurse, where she served as an Intake Specialist at Care Central VNA and Hospice. A proud achievement in Shannon's nursing career was being the first LPN to bridge to the RN program at MWCC. She was a testament to the power of dedication and resilience, inspiring many with her unwavering commitment to the well-being of others.

Shannon was a lover of life, embracing every moment with a jovial heart and a contagious smile. Her funny and vibrant nature found joy in the art of culinary, the thrill of movies, and the festive spirit of collecting snowmen. However, her greatest delight was found in the warm embrace of her family — the heart and soul of her existence. Shannon was known to live to love and loved to live. This truth was evident in the deep affection she held for her family and the love she received in return. Her indomitable spirit and resilience touched everyone she met, making them love her and hold her dear to their hearts.

Shannon was a devoted Catholic and served her faith with reverence. As an altar girl, she made all her sacraments, living by the verse, "A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another" (John 13:34). Shannon is survived by her loving mother, Katherine Smith, her beloved daughter, Autumn Wilson, and her caring sister, Nichole Morrissey. She was preceded in death by her father, Charles Smith. Shannon's life was a testament to the beauty of love and dedication. She will be greatly missed and cherished forever in the hearts of those she left behind.
