Shawn Edward Bacener

FITCHBURG - Shawn Edward Bacener, 35, of Fitchburg, died Thursday, December 1, in his home. Shawn was born February 13, 1981, in Fitchburg, son of Edward Bacener and the late Cynthia (Boucher) Bacener. He graduated from Fitchburg High School in 1999 and was currently working as a residential counselor at Becket Family of Services. Shawn was a dedicated sports fan, enjoying the Red Sox, Patriots, Celtics, and Bruins. He especially enjoyed shooting pool. He will be remembered for his easy going and lovable sprit. His mother, Cynthis Bacener, died August 5, 2015. He leaves his father, Edward Bacener and his wife, Christine of Southbridge; his sister, Stacey Bacener of Fitchburg; aunts and uncles, David and Barbara Boucher of Greenville, NH, Daisy Bacener of Lunenburg, Dora Saari of Lancaster, and Maria Sanders of AK; his best friend, Creamer; several cousins; and many friends. The funeral will be held Tuesday, December 6, at 10:00 A.M. at St. Joseph Church, 49 Woodland St., Fitchburg. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery. Calling hours are Monday, December 5, from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. in Simard Funeral Home, 14 Walker St., Leominster.
