Shawn M. Riggs

ATHOL- Shawn M. Riggs, 33, of Athol, died Saturday, July 20, in his home. He was born March 5, 1980, in Greenfield, son of Patrick Riggs and Cynthia (Gates) Whittier. Shawn attended Athol High School where he played on the football team. He loved the outdoors, especially fishing. Shawn will be remembered as always being happy and the center of attention. He truly loved people. He leaves his mother, Cynthia (Gates) Whittier and step father, Robert Whittier; his father, Patrick Riggs; two sons, Shawn and Gabriel; one daughter, Avalynn; one sister, Naomi Wood; two brothers, Jason and Dan Riggs; his great grandmother, Kathy Fay; three nieces, Jadalynn, Naveia, and Taylor; two nephews, Brandon and Evan; many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Funeral Services will be held Friday, July 26, with a calling hour from 7:00 to 8:00 P.M.with the funeral at 8:00 P.M. in Fiske, Murphy & Mack Community Funeral Home, 110 New Athol Rd., Orange.
