GARDNER- Sheila “Tina” (White) Harris, 75, of Gardner, died Friday, August 30, after an illness.
She was born August 11, 1944 in Gardner, daughter of the late Russell H. and the late Lillian (Syminowski) White. Tina grew up in Gardner and graduated from Gardner High School, and received her associates degree in human services from Mount Wachusett Community College. Before attending college, she was a produce manager for the former First National Foods. She later worked for GAAMHA in Gardner.
Tina enjoyed sewing, embroidery, and gardening, especially her rose bushes. She was a great cook, a wonderful grandmother, and loved spending time with her family and going to Florida. She also loved animals, especially the German Shepherds she’s had over the years. The times spent raising her family on Wyman’s are remembered fondly.
Her husband of many years, Arne Lahtinen, died in 2011. She was also predeceased by her grandson, Taylor Russell Lahtinen, and her brother, Robert White.
She leaves two sons, Keith R. Lahtinen of Leominster and Gregory A. Lahtinen and spouse, Joseph Grigarauskas of Southbridge; one daughter, Robin M. Robichaud of Gardner; three grandchildren, Timothy Lahtinen, Michelle A. Robichaud and Russell H. Robichaud; four great grandchildren, Anna, Tucker, Avery, and Wyatt; sister in law, Linda (Borkowski) White of Hubbardston; several nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be held Friday, September 6, at 10:00 A.M. at the First Congregational Church of Westminster, 138 Main St. Burial is at Woodside Cemetery.
