GARDNER- Sherri Michelle Bergstrom Brooks, 27 of Gardner died Sunday, January 15, after a 6 year struggle with addiction. Sherri was born on November 26, 1989. She attended Gardner High School and graduated from Lawrence Academy in Groton in 2009. She attended Suffolk University in Boston. Hers was a wonderful life filled with hope and promise but ended far too soon.
Sherri loved to sing and had the voice of an angel. She was also a talented athlete and excelled in soccer, ice hockey, softball and track. Sherri had a big personality and brought much joy to everyone she met. She was smart, beautiful and kind. She was loved by many.
She leaves her son Colby Victor, her parents Calvin Brooks and Patti Bergstrom, her sister Carol Ann Caruso and her husband Matthew, her sister Jamie LeClair and her brothers Ronald and Jason LeClair, nephews, nieces, cousins, aunts, uncles and many friends.
Sherri’s family thanks all of their close friends and the Gardner Community for standing by their side in support throughout her struggle.
Calling hours are Tuesday, January 17, from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. in Lamoureux-Fletcher & Smith Funeral Home, 105 Central St., Gardner.
A Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, January 18, at 10:00 A.M. in the First Congregational Church, 28 Green St., Gardner.
