Shirley F. Russell

FARMINGTON, CT - Shirley F. (Mills) Russell, 88 of 20 Scott Swamp Rd., Farmington, CT, formerly of Athol, died Monday, November 9, 2009 in the New Britain General Hospital, New Britain, CT. She was born in Winchendon on July 19, 1921, the daughter of the late Napolean and the late Margaret F. (Goulding) Mills. She grew up in the Athol area and graduated from Athol High School. She worked as an Indicators Assembler for the L.S. Starrett Company for over forty years. She was a member of Our Lady Immaculate Church and resided in Athol for most of her life. She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and sang for many local bands in her younger years. She leaves one daughter, Donna M. Jordan of Bristol, CT. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, November 13, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. in the Our Lady Immaculate Church, 192 School St., Athol. Burial will follow in Gethsemane Cemetery, Athol. A calling hour will be held Friday, November 13, 2009 from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. at the Fiske Funeral Home, 1356 Main St., Athol. $(document).ready(function(){ });
