Sophie M. Lepkowski

Gardner------Sophie M. (Mientus) Lepkowski, 93 of Gardner died Saturday June 16, 2011 at home after an illness. She was born March 7, 1918 in Enfield Connecticut the daughter of the late Frank Mientus and Magdalina (Rurak) Mientus and came to Gardner many years ago. She leaves her son, Fredrick Lepkowski of Templeton, her daughter Cynthia Robinson and husband Richard of Plantation Florida, a sister Mary Gubala of Wilbraham MA, and her four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Her husband of (52)Years, Edward J. Lepkowski died in 1998,two brothers Stanely Mientus and John Mientus and her sister Stella all predeceased her. Mrs. Lepkowski graduated from Enfield High School. She worked at Pratt Whitney Co, later going to work at Simplex Co. She was a communicant of St Alaberts Church in Enfield CT, and enjoyed collecting dolls, hummels and reading.
