ATHOL – Stanley E. Clements, 82, of Athol passed away Thursday, May 23, 2018 in Heywood Hospital, Gardner.
Stanley was born on February 23, 1936 in Gardner, MA, the son of the late Joseph Clements and the late Dorothy (Zincavitch) Clements.
He lived all his life in Athol and attended Athol schools. He was a factory worker at J. F. McElwain Shoe Shop, L. S. Starrett Company in Athol and the Consolidated Tobacco Company in Hadley. He was a member of the St. Francis of Assisi Church, former member of the Athol Knights of Columbus Council #1182, member of the Democratic State and National Committees, enjoyed going to the casino. He also was member of the Commander Club of the D.A.V., the 2014 Special Olympics, a partner of the American Red Cross and the United Way.
Stanley is survived by his cousins: J. R. Green and Barbara (Clements) White of Athol, Christine Kersey of CT, and many friends.
He was predeceased by his father Joseph in 1977 and his mother Dorothy in 1978.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, June 2, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. in St. Francis of Assisi Church, 101 Main St., Athol. Burial will follow in Gethsemane Cemetery.
