Stanley J. Kisiel

GARDNER- Stanley J. Kisiel, 87, of Gardner, died Wednesday, November 16, at Heywood Hospital. Stanley was born January 1, 1929, in Gardner, son of the late Gregory and Philomena (Sawicki) Kisiel. He graduated from Gardner High School and served in the US Navy during WWII. Mr. Kisiel worked for Heywood-Wakefield for many years. He was a member of the Gardner VFW. He was an avid reader and sports fan following the Yankees, Bruins, and Patriots. He was especially proud of his children, grandchildren and great granddaughter. He leaves his wife of 65 years, June G. (Dick) Kisiel; two sons, Alan Kisiel and his wife, Christine of Hubbardston; Keith Kisiel and his companion, Dawn Marino of Gardner; one daughter, Linda Elwell of Gardner; five grandchildren, Lindsey Kisiel and her partner Gil Rodriguez, Nicholas Kisiel, Darren and Meghan Elwell; and one great granddaughter, Mia Rodriguez. He was predeceased by a grandson, Jordan Elwell, his son in law, Charles "Butch" Elwell, two sisters, Guinevere Skorko and Helen Walendziak, and his step brother, John Derwisz. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to the charity of ones choice.
