ATHOL - Stella H. (Kachinsky) Trinque, 90, of Athol, died Sunday, January 31, 2010 in the Baldwinville Nursing Home.
She was born in Athol in 1919, the daughter of the late John and the late Carrie (Burnet) Kachinsky.
Mrs. Trinque grew up in Athol and attended local schools. Many years ago she was a housekeeper for local residences and made baked goods for the Priory Company in Petersham for ten years. She had also worked at the L. S. Starrett Tool Company as a technician for fifteen years until her retirement in 1964. Mrs. Trinque was a devoted communicant of Our Lady Immaculate Church. As Eucharistic Minister, she would open the church for visitors and brought communion to parishioners' homes. She was an avid fan of the Boston Red Sox and enjoyed watching football, especially the Patriots and New York Giants. She was a member of a local knitting and sewing club and enjoyed reading.
She leaves three sons, Richard Trinque and his wife Denise (Duval) of Holliston, Ronald Trinque and his wife Cynthia (Stewart) of Bridgewater, Robert Trinque and his wife Cathy of Greenfield; six grandchildren, Jennifer Corriveau of Holly Springs, NC, Julie Vidolin of Sarasota, FL, CDR. Derek Trinque of Hawaii, Jason Trinque of Winthrop, Kelly Trinque, Robyn Trinque both of Greenfield; ten great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband of 44 years, Bernard Trinque, in 1980; and by four brothers, Paul Kachinsky, Roger Kachinsky, Jacob Kachinsky, and Frank Kachinsky.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, February 4, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. in the Our Lady Immaculate Church, 192 School St., Athol. Burial will follow in Silver Lake Cemetery, Athol.
Calling hours will be held Thursday, February 4, 2010 from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. at the Fiske Funeral Home, 1356 Main Street, Athol.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorial contributions be made in her memory to Our Lady Immaculate Church, 192 School Street, Athol, MA 01331 or to Baldwinville Nursing Home, P.O. Box 24, Templeton, MA 01468.
