RUTLAND- Stephanie (Askue) McIntire, 75, of Rutland, died Wednesday, July 12, in her home, after an illness.
Stephanie was born July 20, 1941, in Cleveland, OH, daughter of the late Paul and Anita (Keicker) Askue. She worked as an assembler for Digital and NEC, and was a school bus driver for Atlantic Express and Michael Cappuccino. Stephanie was also an instructor of English hunt seat horse riding at the ABC School of Horsemanship, licensed by the state of Massachusetts. She was a member of the "Friendship Riders", a club for horse owners and competition trail riders. Stephanie was an ardent flower gardener and baker and was also involved in aerobics and running at the Greendale YMCA.
She leaves her husband of 56 years, John McIntire of Rutland; one son, James McIntire and his wife, Cheryl of Copperopolis, CA; one daughter, Sandra McIntire of Seattle, WA; five grandchildren; two great grandchildren; one sister, Edith Shuford of SC; one brother, Timothy Askue of NC; sister-in-law, Ann Horlick of FL; several nieces and nephews.
