Stephanie L. Sears

ATHOL - Stephanie L. (Maroni) Sears, 64, of 399 Cottage St., Athol, died Thursday, April 9, 2009 in the St. Vincent's Hospital, Worcester. She was born in Athol on November 18, 1944, the daughter of the late Louis and Beatrice (Nault) Maroni. Mrs. Sears grew up in Athol and attended local schools. She worked for the former Athol Diner, then the former N.D. Cass Toy Company of Athol. She later worked in the housekeeping department of the Athol Memorial Hospital. More recently, Mrs. Sears worked in Gardner at several furniture manufacturers. Mrs. Sears was a communicant of Our Lady Immaculate Church. She enjoyed visiting the Athol Senior Center, crocheting, and making crafts. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family. She leaves her husband of 36 years, Gerald D. Sears Jr.; her son, Jeremiah Sears of Athol; her mother, Beatrice (Nault) Maroni of Athol; her brother, Louis Maroni and his wife Darlene of Orange; two sisters, Valerie Hoye and her husband Bernie of Tully, Grace Reed and her husband Steve of Athol; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her father, Louis Maroni, who died in 1997 and by her sister, Patricia Ferron, who died in 1999. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held next Wednesday, April 22, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. in Our Lady Immaculate Church, 192 School St., Athol. Burial will follow in Gethsemane Cemetery, Athol. Calling hours will be held next Wednesday, April 22, 2009 from 9:30 -10:30 a.m. at the J. Edward Murphy Funeral Home, 137 Main St., Athol. $(document).ready(function(){ });
