Steven J. Goodwin

Steven J. Goodwin Athol – Steven J. Goodwin, 52, of 44 Ridge Road, died Monday, February 18, 2013 at the Athol Memorial Hospital.      He was born in Leominster, Massachusetts, September 20, 1960, the son of Roy F. and Winifred P. (DeVarney) Goodwin.  Steve attending schools in Fitchburg and Gardner and had lived in Fitchburg, Gardner, Winchendon, Royalston and since 1990 has resided in Athol.        Steve worked at Kirk Eastern Manufacturing in Gardner as a foreman, previously worked at Level Manufacturing in Winchendon and other construction companies.  He and his wife also were care-takers for the Rowe family for many years.  He loved spending time outdoors, cutting wood, also loved working on many different types of projects, always enjoying working, playing Keno and working on his computer.     Steve leaves his wife of 22 years, Sandra (Moore) Goodwin; his brothers and sisters, Robert Goodwin, Roy Goodwin, Patty Boivert and Keith Boudreau, all of Gardner, Lee (Sonny) Boudreau of Templeton, Marcus Boudreau of Long Beach, CA and Brian Boudreau. He also had a special place in his heart for his many nieces and nephews.  Besides his parents he was predeceased by two brothers, Michael and Dean Boudreau.      A memorial service will be held Monday, February 25, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. at Higgins-O’Connor Funeral Home, 146 Main Street, Athol.  There will be a calling hour from 6:00 p.m. until the time of the service.  For further information or to share a memory with the family go to: www.higginsoconnorfuneralhome.com. $(document).ready(function(){ });
