Steven C. Schoorens

PHILLIPSTON – Steven Craig Schoorens, 58 of Phillipston, passed away Sunday, May 17, 2020 at home. Steven was born on September 2, 1961 in Needham to Richard A and Shirley A. (Whynot) Schoorens. He grew up in Bedford, MA, graduating from Bedford High School in 1980. He was a plate maker for R. R. Donnelly Printing in Bedford for 35 years. He was a member of First Bible Baptist Church in Gardner. He enjoyed many years being a member of the International Defensive Pistol Association (IDPA). He held a Black Belt in Karate and enjoyed skiing, skating, camping, doing projects around the home and yard, and taking walks along the beach and through the woods with his family. He is survived by his wife of 24 years: Susan L. (Dow) Schoorens; one son: Joshua Schoorens; one daughter: Rebekah Schoorens, all of Phillipston; his parents, Richard and Shirley Schoorens of Biddeford, Maine; two brothers: David Schoorens of Portsmouth, R.I., Doug Schoorens of Biddeford, ME; one sister: Susan Billbrough of Havertown, PA; several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Fiske-Murphy & Mack Funeral Homes, 110 New Athol Rd., Orange is assisting with arrangements.
