Athol-Susan Jane (Dunshee) Woodbury, 64, died Thursday, May 26, 2022 at Mass General Hospital after an illness.
She was the wife of the late Bruce A. Woodbury who died in 2021.
She leaves her mother, Illene R Brooks and her husband, George of Centerville; her father Dwight W. Dunshee and his wife Lynn of Owl Head, NY; one daughter, Caroline A. Cole and her significant other, Mike Vorce of Athol, one granddaughter, Lillian R. Vorce of Athol; one brother, Steven Dunshee and his wife Robin of TN, three sisters, Debora Love and her husband David of FL, Melinda Wilson and her husband Cleve of Cape Cod, and Rebecca Carmichael and her husband Daniel of IN; two step-brothers, Edward Dunshee and Robert Dunshee of NH; one step-sister, Norma Damon of NH; one aunt Bonnie Hastings of Athol; a special niece, Renee Storm of Orange; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Susan attended Nauset School System in Brewster and was a graduate of Athol High School in 1976. Susan worked as a wood finisher for Athol Table Top and was also a caregiver and a housekeeper for local women.
Susan loved working in her gardens, cooking and interior decorating. She also loved going to the Cape visiting her yacht with sand between her toes.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, June 16, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 111 Glenallen Street, Winchendon, MA 01475.
