Suzanne Page-Neri

July 13, 1949 — March 14, 2018

PETERSHAM - Suzanne Page-Neri of Petersham, passed away on Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at home. Raised in Athol, she was the daughter of the late Lorne W. Page and the late Claire (Coolidge) Page. She graduated from Athol High School with the Class of 1967. After spending a year at Mt. Wachusett Community College, Sue went to work for New England Telephone, leaving in 1969 to begin her 41 year career with the L.S. Starrett Company where she was also a member of the 25 year club. Sue served on the Petersham Board of Assessors from 1984 to 1987 and was clerk of the Athol High School Scholarship Association for 25 years. Summer activities found Sue tending her perennial and vegetable gardens as well as kayaking local waterways. After a bountiful snowfall, the snow shoes would appear for a trek around the families 250 acres of trails. Sue leaves behind her husband of 25 years, Joseph M. Neri, they enjoyed many relaxing ocean travels together and a happy life; brother Richard Page and his wife Margaret of Greenfield; sisters, Cheryl Gabrenas and her husband Michael; and Jody Hayne and her partner, Fred Deane all of Petersham; many nieces and nephews as well as a special sister-in-law, Joyce Phillips of Southport, NC, sister-in-law Maryann Winters of Rutland. Sue also leaves a very, sweet & dedicated feline caretaker, Cami, who was by her side throughout her illness. At her request, there are no calling hours and burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
