Suzanne (Gronowicz) Young

ATHOL - Suzanne (Gronowicz) Young, 94 formerly of Petersham and Gardner, died on Saturday, March 31, 2012 at the Quabbin Valley Healthcare in Athol.   Suzanne was born in Gardner on May 6, 1917, the daughter of the late Adam and the late Veronika (Kotoski) Gronowicz. She was raised in Gardner and graduated from Gardner High School with the class of 1935. Mrs. Young completed nursing studies at Heywood Hospital School of Nursing in 1938 and worked for the former Gardner State Hospital as Nursing Supervisor until her retirement in 1973. Suzanne was a member of the Orthodox Congregational Church in Petersham.   She leaves three grandchildren, Jason Young of Clinton, MS, Calah Young of Charleston, WV, Ian of Monson, MA; one brother, Bernard Gronowicz of St. Petersburg, FL; many nieces and nephews.   She was predeceased by her husband, Roger Young, in 1970; by her son, Rudolph Young, in 1996; and by her brother, Rudolph Gronowicz, in 2009.   Graveside services in Wildwood Cemetery, Gardner, will be private.   There are no calling hours. $(document).ready(function(){ });
