GARDNER - Sybil Ruth (Wade) Lapre, 64, of 125 Connors Street, Gardner, died Thursday, February 25, 2010 in the St. Vincent Hospital, Worcester after an illness.
She was born in Compton, California on June 5, 1945, the daughter of the late Cecil Seaburn and the late Sybil Ruth (Rice) Wade.
Ms. Lapre was raised and educated in Orange County, California and graduated from high school in 1963. She studied Child Psychology at the University of Rhode Island. She resided in Mesquite, Texas for several years and was a resident of Gardner for the past eight years.
Sybil worked as a photogrammetrist for various companies over the years but was a homemaker for most of her life. She was a communicant of St. Joseph's Church in Gardner and was the longest living survivor of multiple myeloma. Sybil loved spending time with her grandchildren and also enjoyed shopping and working on her crafts.
She leaves three daughters, Jeanine Conboy and her husband Matthew of Gardner, Lisa Daniels and her husband David of Dover, New Hampshire, Amy Nation and her husband Scott of Condon, Oregon; two brothers, Dwayne Wade of New Hampshire, Gerry Wade of Texas; eleven grandchildren, Carissa Austin and her husband Daniel, Gary Conboy, Marie Conboy, Joseph Conboy, Katherine Conboy, Luke Conboy, all of Gardner, D.J. Daniels and Nicole Daniels of New Hampshire, Daniel Nation, Kaitlyn Nation and Jessie Grace Nation, all of Oregon; and one great grandson, Alex Austin of Gardner.
She was predeceased by her former husband, Arthur Lapre, in April of 2009; and by her brother, Dalton Wade.
A Memorial Mass will be held Friday, March 5, 2010 at 6:00 p.m. in St. Joseph's Church, 358 Pleasant St., Gardner. Burial will be on Saturday, March 6, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. in the Calvary Cemetery, Middle Rd., Portsmouth, NH.
