Sylvia E. Anderson

ATHOL - Sylvia E. (Jorgensen) Anderson, 90 of Athol, died Tuesday, January 8, 2008 in the Baldwinville Nursing Home, Baldwinville. She was born in Norway, on December 26, 1917, the daughter of the late Helfred and the late Hildagard (Gloslie) Jorgensen. She moved to Athol from Norway when she was seven. Mrs. Anderson lived in Worcester most of her adult life. She was a singer and sang at the Metropolitan Opera House in New York and also did some modeling. She loved to cook, shopping and watching her grandchildren. She leaves one daughter, Donna Hutchinson of Athol; one son, Allen R. Anderson of Spencer; six grandchildren and five great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Roy A. Anderson. Memorial services will be held at Saturday, January 12, 2008 at 4:30 pm in the Seventh-Day Adventists Church, 3200 South Athol Road, Athol.
