GARDNER - Thaddeus Luszey, 84 of 252 Cross St., Gardner, died Thursday, November 1, 2007 in the UMass Memorial Medical Center - University Campus, Worcester. He was born in Ware, MA, on January 4, 1923. He was a veteran of World War II serving in the U.S. Navy. He attended Holy Spirit Church and he belonged to the Carpenters Local #107 of Worcester. He enjoyed fishing, gardening and repairing automobiles. He leaves two sons, Thaddeus J. Luszey of Gardner, John Leavitt of California; two daughters, Nancy Guinard of Clinton, Elizabeth Hanshaw of Worcester; three step sons, Robert Marcinkus of Oxford, Peter Marcinkus of Springfield, MA; and Steven Marcinkus of Princeton, MA; one step daughter, Carol Melanson of Baldwinville; and three grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, Elizabeth J. (Nalwaker) Luszey who died in 2000; and by two brothers, Charles Luszey and Joseph Luszey. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, November 6, 2007 at 11:00 am in Holy Spirit Church, 50 Lovewell St., Gardner. Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Gardner. A calling hour will be held Tuesday, November 6, 2007, from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m. at the Poliks Funeral Home 431 Pleasant St., Gardner. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made in his memory to American Cancer Society's, New England Division Office, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
