Theresa J. Ivins

Theresa J. Ivins, born September 30, 1955, in Athol Massachusetts left this earthly realm and ascended to a better place on October 23, 2023.

She was a woman whose life was a tapestry of love, creativity and service. She wove together the threads of her passions and talents to create a life that was as rich and vibrant as the pieces she lovingly sewed.

Theresa, a lifelong resident of Athol, was not just a familiar face but a warm, nurturing presence in the community. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend. Her family was her most cherished creation.

She is survived by her children, April Johnson and her husband Dane, Thomas Ivins and his wife Tara, Colleen Ivins-Ipock and her husband John; her sister Geraldine Jolly, her grandchildren Andrew Ivins, Justin Ivins, Connor Ipock, Cheveyo Johnson and Nizhoni Johnson; her great grandson Jeremy Ivins; along with many beloved nieces and nephew, cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband Alonzo Ivins; her parents Millard and Gloria Shaw as well as her brothers Lester and David Shaw.

Thank you to everyone; friends, family, doctors, nurses, and her care team for all you have done for her.
