LEOMINSTER - Theresa Rossi loved to take care of her family and home; At 93, Theresa Rita (Petricca) Rossi, died in her home surrounded by her family.
She was born in Leominster on February 9, 1915. She was the daughter of Joseph and Lucia Petricca and one of nine children.
She was a graduate of Leominster High School. She was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother and was a constant source of strength to all who knew her. She loved politics and had a great knowledge of health and fitness.
Theresa's family was her priority and they will love and miss her every day. She was predeceased by her husband of 65 years, Emidio "Smitty" Rossi, who loved her with all his heart. She and her husband devoted themselves to their children and were deeply involved and supportive as they raised their own families.
Among those who love her were her daughter, Angela Aupperlee and her late husband William; her son, Remo Rossi and his wife Ellen; her granddaughter Lynn Bourgeois and her husband Phillip, and his mother Dorothy Hill; her grandson, Stephen Rossi and his wife Melanie; her great grandson, Kristopher Mobley and his wife Melissa; her great grandson Bryan Bourgeois and his friend Brittany Orlando; and her great granddaughter, Megan. Theresa also had one great, great grandchild. She is also survived by three sisters, Philomena Carolis, Mary Perla and Julie Tourigny.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Tuesday, June 3, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Anna's Church, 194 Lancaster St., Leominster. Burial will follow in St. Leo's Cemetery.
Calling hours will be held Tuesday, June 3, 2008 from 9:00 to 10:45 a.m. at Simard Funeral Home, 14 Walker St., Leominster.
