Theresa (Marion-Smith) Tillson

ATHOL-Theresa Tillson, 86 of Athol passed peacefully on Thursday, October 21, 2021, at Wachusett Manor in Gardner. She was born on April 27, 1935 in Athol a daughter of the late Arthur E. and Aselie M. (Bergeron) Marion. She grew up in Athol and attended Athol Schools. She loved going to church and believed strongly in her catholic faith. She worked in her younger years at the N.D. Cass Company, making small pianos, before marrying the love of her life, Henry F. Smith Sr. She like going for rides, going to the malls shopping, making afghans, crocheting, embroidery, having company and visiting. She loved to listen to country music and going out dancing. She especially loved doing things with her children. She liked watching the older TV shows on TV. She loved having her jewelry, clothes and perfume collections, and talking to truck drivers on the C.B. radio. She leaves her four children, Corrine V. Smith of Worcester, Jean A. Smith of Athol, Henry F. Smith Jr of Radcliff, KY and Thomas E. Smith of Athol; two grandsons, Robert Smith of FL, and Jason Jones of NH; 3 great-grandchildren and two sisters-in-law; and several nieces and nephews. Mom, you will be sadly missed by your 4 children, friends, family and all who knew and loved you. You will be forever in our hearts, thoughts and prayers and remembering the memories we all made with you. Theresa's funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 28, 2021 in the Fiske-Murphy & Mack Funeral Home, 110 New Athol Road, Orange, MA 01364. A calling hour will be in the funeral home from 2:00 - 3:00 p.m. Burial will be private on Friday in the Gethsemane Cemetery, Athol.
