Hubbardston — Thomas Raymond Moore, 77, born August 13, 1940, died peacefully Friday, October 13, 2017 at his home surrounded by family.
He was predeceased by his brother Alan Moore and leaves nieces; Terri Moore and her husband Julian Vonheeder, and Sharon Nance; Sister-in-law Patricia Moore; his cousin and caretaker, Olivia Seminoff and her family, Jennifer Peck, James and Valeen Piermarini,Thomas Piermarini,and Lilliana Doyle; His cousins, Debra and Jim Alie, Jade Arsenault, Steve Moore, Sharon and Donald Matthews, Jackie and Bridgette Moore; His best friends, Donald Lang, Steve Como, Left-hand Luke, and Peter Kaptain and his neighbors, Bob and Kathy Newton.
Born and raised in Hubbardston, he was the son of Raymond and Mary (Simcewicz) Moore.
Mr. Moore graduated from Worcester Junior College as a welder and then worked with his father at S. Bent and Bros. for many years. He had many friends and many hobbies. After his career at S. Bent, he worked with his best friend at Langs Old Car Parts answering phones as a service technician. He was "the guy to talk to".
When his mother got older he was by her side and took care of her until her passing at 101 years old.
Mr. Moore had a passion for Model T Fords. He could do anything from restoring them to building them from a scrap heap. For years, he would enter his cars into races, car shows and engine shows, where he won numerous awards. He passed on his passion and expertise to countless people over the years. No matter where you were from, you would most likely be referred to him if you had any questions. He loved to show his cars off and was always seen giving rides to everyone.
He also loved to fly. He became a pilot at a young age and traveled to many places he wanted to see throughout his life. As he got older he loved to visit Rhinebeck, NY for their aviation shows.
He always had a trivia question for you, he could always tell you someone he knew with your last name, and he was always there for anyone that needed a compassionate shoulder or a caring heart. He will be greatly missed by many many people.

Calling Hours will be held Thursday, October 19, 2017 from 5-7PM at Lamoureux-Smith & Poliks Funeral Home, A Mack Family Funeral Home, 105 Central St. Gardner.
A funeral service will be held Friday October 13, 2017 at 11 in the funeral home.
Burial will be in Greenbower Cemetery.
