GARDNER – Thomas "Tommy"  W. Sadowski, 51, of 41 Bickford Hill Road, Gardner died on Monday, December 31, 2012  peacefully after a long illness.  Tommy was surrounded by family and friends at UMass Memorial Hospital, Worcester. He was born on July 11, 1961 the son of the late Robert and Norrinne (Belair) Sadowski.  Tom grew up in Gardner and graduated from Gardner High School with the class of 1980.  He received a degree in History from Castleton State College in 1985.   Tom worked for J.B.M. Services in Templeton, and in the Pallet Industry for over 25 years.  Growing up he worked in his parents business Sadowski’s Variety "Teddy's".  He was a life member of the Polish American Citizens Club, a member of the National Wooden Pallet and Container Association, an active member of Boy Scouts of America Nashua Valley Council Troop #9 at Holy Rosary Church.   Tom loved living in Gardner and studied the history of the city.   Tommy and his family enjoyed excursions throughout New England starting with the kids deciding on the direction and never taking the same road twice.  Tommy was a big hearted person who enjoyed meeting people and making friends where ever he traveled. He will be most remember for his zest for life and his never ending smile.     He leaves his wife of 20 years, Christine E. (Nelson) Sadowski, his son Michael Taduescz John Sadowski; his daughter, Hannah Elizabeth Sadowski; his brother, Greg Sadowski and his wife Sandy of Wilmington; three nieces, Amanda Sadowski, Kimberley Sadowski, Chloe Bisceglia; a nephew Jack Bisceglia; his father and mother in-law, George and Sandra Nelson of Leominster and West Dennis; two sister in laws, Marilyn Sadowski of Gardner, Pamela Bisceglia and her husband John of Leominster; close friends, William Kotoski of Princeton, Dr. James Faust of West Brookfield, Scott Persichino of New Hope, PA and James Baltrucki of Gardner. Tommy also leaves two special girls that cared for the Sadowski children, Julie Donahue and Erica Forte. Tom was predeceased by his brother Bobby Sadowski who died in 2000.   A Funeral Mass will be held Monday, January 7, 2013 at 11 a.m. in Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 135 Nichols Street, Gardner.  Burial will be private at a later date.   Calling hours will be held on Sunday, January 6, 2013 from 2 to 5 p.m. in the Poliks Funeral Home, 431 Pleasant St., Gardner. MA. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial donations be made in his memory to the Michael and Hannah Sadowski Education Fund, GFA Credit Union, 229 Parker Street, Gardner, MA 01440. $(document).ready(function(){ });
