Trisha Ann (Suggs) DeVelis Age 60, passed peacefully into the arms of Jesus her Savior and was met by the love of her life Anthony R. DeVelis, on October 31, 2024, surrounded by her family.
Trisha was the loving wife to Anthony R. DeVelis with whom she would have celebrated their 39th anniversary on October 26, 2024; she was the loving mother of Sarah Vincent (Mathew) of Baldwinville MA, Esther Garneau (Samuel) of Lake Wylie SC, Joshua DeVelis (Shana) of Winchendon MA, Jesse DeVelis of Belmont NC, and Joel DeVelis (Meghan) of Ware MA. She was survived by her ten loving grand-children and four adopted grand-children that knew her as Nannie: Reagan, Sophia, Kennedy, Ziva, Grayson, Anthony Robert DeVelis III, Jaxson, Arabella, Oakley, Maverick, Emmy, Eli, Everlee, and Alex. She is survived by her siblings: Dorothy Bryn, Lorelei Hart (Kenneth), Rebecca Dixon-Bruinenberg (Marco), Brother, Wilton Suggs, Barbara Willis (Robbie), Tanya Hart (John). She is also survived by her brother-in-laws and sister-in-laws that she considered to be like family: Kenneth Register, Donna Canady, Pam Smith, Fr. Mark DeVelis, Paul DeVelis, Glenn DeVelis (Jen), and the late Dennis Dixon and Miriam Suggs. As well as multiple nephews, nieces, great nephews, and great nieces.
Trisha was originally raised in Wilmington MA, but spent many of her childhood years in St. Paul’s, NC. Trisha was the daughter of the late Angus Wilton Suggs and Florence Louise (Gardner) Suggs. She attended St. Pauls High School, class of 1981. Trisha’s love for people and contagious cheerful heart served her well as a hospital candy striper, in her school chorus, serving as a Sunday school teacher, baking chocolate chip cookies, loving foster kids as her own, and cheering on her high school sports teams. She loved a good Italian meal at Mangia Mangia, a roast beef and French fry from the Last Corner Restaurant, shopping, laughing with friends and family, praying for every person she met with a need, and watching her grand babies grow up.
She was an exemplary person towards everyone she encountered and never missed a moment to tell someone about her Heavenly Father. She lived out her personal beliefs whole heartedly by unconditionally loving everyone that came across her path, giving everyone a second chance, believing in redemption, and forgiving always. She loved Jesus, her personal Savior, with all of her heart.
