Valida M Smith

ORANGE- Valida M. Smith, 89, died Tuesday, March 30, 2021 at Alliance Health in Baldwinville after an illness. She leaves her sister, Pauline Foster of Glade Valley, NC and several nieces and nephews. Valida is predeceased by two brothers, Dominey J. Smith Jr and Larry E. Smith and a sister, Rita LaFountain. She was born in Ellenberg Depot, NY on September 18, 1931 a daughter of the late Dominey J and Laura I. (Forrette) Smith. She was a graduate of Ellenberg Central High School, the class of 1949. She worked as a Foreign Export Coordinator for HP in Westminster, retiring in 1992. Valida was a member of the Orange Senior Center and the King James Court Tenant Association. Her funeral services will be private and she will be buried at the Gethsemane Cemetery in Athol.
