Velma May Antunes

LEOMINSTER-------Velma May Antunes 80 of Leominster died January 28, 2011 in Health Alliance Leominster Hospital after an illness. She was born May 3, 1930 in New Bedford MA the daughter of the late Arthur Dalomba and Laura (Gomes) Dalomba and came to Leominster many years ago. She leaves four sons, Wayne D. Antunes of Lunenburg, Barry A. Antunes and his wife Heidi of Leominster, Brian D. Antunes of Leominster and Brad T. Antunes of Leominster and her daughter Renay Doucette and her husband Robert of Leominster. Six grandchildren, Jessica Duffy, Melanie Doucette, Laura Doucette, Sierra Antunes, Kelsey Antunes and Tyler Antunes and her great granddaughter Alexandra Duffy. Her daughter Darcel Antunes predeceased her in 1998. Velma was employed for many years as a Case Worker for the Friends of the Retarded in Leominster. She enjoyed gardening. A funeral service will be held on Friday February 4, 2011 at 11am in Simard Funeral Home 14 Walker St Leominster MA. Burial will be private at a later date.
